Summer Fresh Sage Ice Tea Drink

We love refreshing drinks to keep us hydrated, happy and cool in the summer. Sage is such a lovely herb, from its velvety texture to its fragrance that I could never seem to get enough of -- inhaling some sage as I write this! Ahh… breathe deep when you get your hands on some fresh sage. Sage has many medicinal properties it also makes a wonderful tea! It’s soothing and so herbal that I love using it for an ice tea throughout the summer. Some evenings we pour it into our insulated thermal bottles and head down to the beach! Here is how I make it,
  • 2 quart water
  • Handful of fresh sage
  • 4 lemons juiced
  • Honey or agave to taste
Boil a small pot of water. Once the water is boiled, take a generous handful of sage. Steep the sage for 15 to 20 minutes more or less. Strain the sage water into a jug. Add lemon juice and honey. Stir well and chill in the fridge until ready to drink!
Takes no time at all to make and its so good! I would love to know if you make it!
Cheers to delicious summer drinks!
